
The Jersey Shore was always full of fun and adventure! Swimming, boating, fishing, crabbing - we had it all. Island Heights, NJ and the surrounding communities on the Toms River and Barnegat Bay was an idealic place to grow up. Who says you can never go home again? So come on in, the waters fine!

Summer was great at the shore! Here we are at the Public Dock in Island Heights, NJ. Swimming, boating, enjoying the sights and sounds while sitting on the beach or under the pavillion.
After garnering Best In Show and First Place Awards on the County Level, "Summertime Dream" was juried into the Great New York State Fair in 2022! It is amazing how far a memory can take you.

Long Point Beach in Island Heights, NJ. Boats would anchor on the sandbar which was handy when the ice cream man made his rounds. Larger Boats passed through the channel at the mouth of the Barnegat Bay. Good Luck Point is beyond including the Old AT&T building and telephone poles for the Ship to Shore Radio.

Looking toward Boy Scout Island and Cozy Cove Marina in Island Heights, NJ. Many a happy hour was spent here. You could travel on foot from Long Point Beach, past Boy Scout Island, through the Boat Yard, along the foot path along the bluff to the Pavillion in the distance.

Taking a break from clamming "down the inlet" we explored one of the islands near "Old Barney".

So here we are spending quality time in the inner sanctum of my Grandfather's shop on Van Sant Avenue, in Island Heights.

Becker's Boatyard at Good Luck Point rented boats, sold bait and tackle, soda ice, snacks and gasoline.
